GAZPROM NEFT COMPLETES FIRST STAGE OF CONSTRUCTION OF HIGH-TECH OIL PRODUCTION COMPLEX IN OMSK

Gazprom Neft has completed the first stage of construction of the hydroisodewaxing complex at Omsk Lubricant Plant. The future complex will produce basic components of high-tech synthetic oils for automotive transport and industrial equipment. With modern technologies on the track, Gazprom Neft plans to increase its share in the Russian market of premium lubricants to 25% by 2030. The company’s investments in this project make more than 32 bn rubles.

The construction work is going according to schedule. A pile field of eight thousand reinforced concrete structures was prepared on site, with the length of the piles increased to 19 meters – this technology guarantees the strength and tightness of the foundation. Specialists began laying utility networks and installing technological equipment. Modern large-size machines with a total weight of more than 1.3 thousand tons have been manufactured by leading Russian companies.

The next stage of the project will be the installation of a digital control system for the production process. About 3.5 thousand sensors will be installed to provide online monitoring of the entire complex.

“With the development of new technologies in the automotive industry, the consumption of synthetic oils is steadily increasing. In the long term, these high-tech products will become the mainstay in the breakdown of sales on the Russian and foreign markets. Implementation of the hydroisodewaxing complex construction project will allow Gazprom Neft to provide a full cycle of synthetic lubricant production based on domestic components. Thanks to this we will strengthen our position as one of the largest producers and suppliers of premium oils in Russia,” said Anatoly Skoromets, General Director of Gazpromneft Lubricants.
